Hector Norris Winter League 2009 starts Saturday 6th June 2009 @ 14h30: New Inter-Club trophy to be won!! As always Winter League will be relaxed and fun with most racing being the ideal training opportunity to come through winter stronger than ever and into the summer racing on top of your game.
Every weekend we plan on incorporating various new events to stimulate both the riders and spectators. Not only will competitors be able to win lots of prizes at the end of Winter league based on their points accrued during the season, but the club who's members have accrued the most points will win the NEW prestigious *
WINTER LEAGUE TROPHY.* A symbol of a vibrant and popular club with a competitive spirit and love of the bike.
Every club member that comes down to race will receive one complimentary point for their club. Points will be accrued thereafter by achieving certain placings. An additional complimentary point will be awarded to the club if a member races on more than 4 weekends during the league.
However no additional complimentary points will be awarded if the member races 8 times during the league as there will only be 2 complimentary points in total.
We are considering a couple of team events on the occasional weekends along with the mix of points, scratch, 1500m, 3000m, elimination and one or two others. We would like to ask all of you to give us your feedback on what events you would like to see at Winter league.
Please bear in mind that this year’s winter league will be held between 2:30 and 4:30pm every Saturday.
